Scope of works:
Located in Darwin’s central business district on Larrakia country, the Education and Community Precinct (ECP) is CDU’s newest campus opened in October 2024. The campus has three designated areas – two levels for CDU teachers and staff, two levels for students and teaching, and two levels open to the public. Students will benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to enhance the learning experience. The building is also home Northern Territory Government’s integrated library and archives. The location of the campus means students will have access to employment and work-integrated learning opportunities in the heart of the Darwin CBD. To address both curing of the concrete, and residual moisture content within the new concrete subfloors across all levels, X200 Densi Proof® was specified and applied to the substrate surface to eliminate the risks associated with subfloor moisture and the applied flooring installation systems. The 2-level basement car parking concrete was also treated with X200 Densi Proof® where a hardened dust proof and abrasion resis tance surface was required along with waterproofing properties for the slab on ground. X200 Densi Proof® eliminates the need to apply membrane curing compounds and the costly and time-consuming process required to remove them whilst allowing for reduced preparation and providing a substrate compatible for the installation of topically applied flooring systems.
