The majority of Rockfon products have a sound absorption (αw) greater than 0.90 which means that at least 90% of the sound energy is absorbed or dissipated. As most schools are constructed using hard surface materials for floors, wall lining, lockers, windows, etc., a Rockfon ceiling, wall absorber, baffle or island is often the only effective solution to create sufficient sound absorption for optimum speech intelligibility.
