Bildspec has installed three operable walls to the main meeting areas at The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) ‘s Sydney Head Office. The installation consists of one Series100 Rw49-rated solid and two Konnect double-glazed moveable acoustic walls, all with bottom mechanical retracting seals.
PMG Group builder and designers designed three movable acoustic walls by intersecting a wall system to give the clients the flexibility to have two medium-sized boardrooms, one large boardroom, or a combined presentation space, including the adjacent lounge area (once all walls have been retracted and fully opened). The design chose an acoustic rating of Rw49 to give the RFDS the required privacy for these rooms.
Moveable acoustic walls assist in the creation of spaces that are adaptable and functional. Clients utilise Bildspec’s operable walls to allow greater flexibility in their office spaces by creating meeting rooms, board rooms, breakout rooms, and multipurpose breakout spaces. These movable acoustic walls offer each application varying acoustic properties, which are not only fit for purpose but also highly attractive and user friendly.
