Description
A concealed fixed lining used to achieve an aesthetic finish in undercrofts and other protected areas that is similar to a suspended ceiling system. The system meets the deemed to satisfy provisions of Section J of the BCA. It has excellent thermal, fire, acoustic, moisture resistance and permeability benefits plus more!
Thermal
When the system can be installed under a concrete suspended floor to satisfy the Total R-Value required By BCA Table J1.6 (excluding climate zone 8).
Noise reduction
The acoustic design of the paint surface combined with the noise absorption properties of stone wool tile (NRC = 1.0) reduces reverberation times.
Light reflectance
The tile surface diffuse light reflectivity of 59% aids lighting design and general illumination levels without glare.
Fire – low fire load and non-combustible
The stone wool tile can be classified as non-combustible, Group 1 and having an average specific extinction area of less than 250m2/kg.
Moisture resistance and permeability
The tile is moisture repellent and highly permeable, ensuring moisture is not trapped and can diffuse out of the system, avoiding trapped condensation and high relative humidity that can promote decay and mould growth.
