Description
In an article published By Bruce Buschel in 2010 called The Four Basic Elements of Dining he inferred that the way a patron experiences a restaurant is similar to the Beatles.
The four elements in the band are:
“John was the food, the steak and potatoes.
Paul was the ambience, the sound.
George was the service, the soul of the place.
And Ringo, the price point.
Would the Beatles have been the Beatles without all four?”
No one can deny that delicious food is the cornerstone of a great restaurant; but your experience will often be affected By the crucial role that ambience plays, in particular the sound. Put simply it can be the difference between having a pleasurable experience or not.
A venue that is well patronised gives the passer By a feeling that the venue is popular and inviting. When the passer By enters the venue and is assaulted with a wall of noise the room suddenly becomes smaller and claustrophobic.
Their perception is altered and the venue moves from being popular and inviting to being cramped and hostile, raising their heart rate and anxiety levels. This combined with a more broad range of effects has led researchers to believe that noise has the ability to act as a general, non-specific stressor.
In short this is not the kind of place that people would wish to meet and spend their time or money.
Rockfon from the very outset has understood this issue. Our range of acoustic products has some of the highest Noise Reduction Coefficients (NRC) of any similar products on the market.
A high NRC product absorbs sound and prevents the noise reverberating around a space. This in turn reduces the need for patrons to raise their voice to overcome the surrounding drone of other patrons struggling to be heard and understood.
When world class acoustic performance is combined with the range of colour and design options offered By Rockfon a pleasing ambience is assured.
