Bildspec Operable Walls were selected by workplace strategy, design, and building company, PMG, to provide the sophisticated acoustic office partition requirements for Dual’s new Sydney Head Office.
Bildspec installed 2 x Konnect Double Glazed Rw48 Side Stacking operable walls meeting at a corner and enabling the client to create an acoustically controlled meeting space within their breakout area or, when folded back to give a clear, open and usable space for play and collaboration. Bildspec designed and custom-engineered a mobile corner post to allow both plains of the double-glazed office partition to be folded back as intended.
Bildspec installed a Series 100 Rw52 Remote Stacking Operable Wall to divide two meeting rooms where required, or allow the client the option of a larger presentation space as needed. High acoustics were chosen here to give the required speech privacy for the meeting rooms’ intended confidential usage.
Operable walls are moveable, acoustic office partitions which aid a flexible work environment, allowing for either small, private spaces to work when needed, or larger spaces to collaborate and socialise with their colleagues. One space can be turned into multiple, smaller spaces, whether it is turning a large open plan area into a series of meeting rooms, or sectioning off rest, eat or play areas away from the busy working environment. Operable walls allow a limited transfer of sound from the external office into the smaller individual space.
