Reynaers systems are designed to meet different levels of thermal insulation. This insulation level is called the U-value. The lower this U-value is, the higher the insulation. This insulation level is realised by a thermal break between the inner and outer aluminium profiles. Profiles of Reynaers also have a unique centre seal or gasket and a continuous acoustic seal, to ensure the insulation.
Polyamide strip
The state-of-the-art insulation technique used by Reynaers, connects the outer chamber and the inner chamber through fiberglass reinforced polyamide strips. These strips provide a thermal break and come in various widths. The wider the strips, the higher the insulation factor. The design of these strips is important to guarantee the stability and strength of the assembled profile.
A very important aspect of aluminium windows and doors is their level of safety and user-friendliness towards children. Reynaers takes this into account when designing its window –and door systems.
Impact resistance
All Reynaers systems are subjected to a severe impact test, in which a sandbag simulates the impact of a moving object (e.g. a running child) on an installed window. These tests are performed in an high-tech Reynaers Institute (testing facility). The high level of impact resistance of our systems ensures a safe solution for playing kids.
Other safety measures: Certain doors can be fitted with a special finger-protection application. This makes sure that a child or any other person does not get injured when their fingers get stuck between a closing door. What’s more, window or door handles are equipped with an anti-error device. This device only allows the correct operation of the handles. In this way, the incorrect operation, possibly resulting in an unexpected opening of the element, is avoided.
Airtight building connections
Contemporary aluminium profiles have an excellent thermal performance thanks to the thermal break and the air tightness of the systems. However, these well-insulated systems require a matching building connection to ensure a good overall thermal insulation. The combination of high insulating systems with airtight installation reduces energy consumption, ensuring an optimal living comfort with a minimum of heating costs.
